New Jesu release

Jesu - Infinity

the winding road Jesu began droning down was heavy, shoegazy and beautiful, but lately the road was straightened out to a more electronic, shoegaze style. Since listening to this one 50 min song album the road is curving more and the heavy is returning. Infinity is a great mix of the electronic/shoegaze and crushing doom style he combined in the early years. after listening i realized how much i missed the guitars from Jesus' earlier releases. hopefully this is a preview of what is to come in the future for Jesu and the next full length record. Justin Broadrick is a innovator of heavy music and this record puts him back in the spot light of genre defying champions. this is a must have album!

GREYMACHINE...nuff said

Greymachine - Disconnected

Consisting of members from Godflesh, Jesu, Isis and Head Of David i had no idea what i was in for. i read some reviews before buying this and the words that continued to pop up were Hateful, Dreadful and Harsh in a good way. i am a huge Justin Broadrick fan lets face it the man is a genius. responsible for some of the most important movements in aggressive music, he has once again showed that there are no boundaries with music. this collaboration is one of the best i have yet to hear, hopefully they will continue releasing material in the future. if you like Godflesh you want this record.

Mercyful Fate - Dont Break The Oath

If you enjoy black metal or any other kind of darkened art then you (should ) know who these guys are. although not full of blast beats or blood gargling vocals these guys were very important to the black metal underground. fronted by King Diamond who shrieks and howls like a mad man, and backed by some awesome dark riffage and thunderous drumming this record is a must have for any aggressive music enthusiast.

The Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca

the latest from this amazing group, one the best records this year hands down. they have taken a different direction with the style but nothing short of beautiful, melodic and technical. some of the rhythms and riffs are so unpredictable, but the voices are angelic and harmonious beyond explanation. this is a great record go pick it up.
